Mine is mounted on a sidesaddle holder on my mossy 500, with a pressure switch on the foregrip. It really illuminates my smallish backyard when something goes "bump" in the night. I have had it mounted while shooting everything from #4 shot to slugs (2 and 3/4") and it stays put and still works.
