T/C omega best first muzzleloader for blasting targets?

My shooting buddy picked up a cheapo CVA 45 cal inline muzzleloader. We had a great time shooting it at the range. Now I want one. After exausting the google seach engine (there's not much blackpowder info on the internet), I found out that CVA's are cheap Spanish made guns with possibly explosive barrels.

I found nothing but good stuff on the T/C guns. I'm thinking about an Omega .50 blued with synthetic stock- I found them new for $299.

They have a fast twist, so no lead balls- need to find some cheap conicals to shoot paper with.

Any recommendations?

Zimm, my advice is forget the Omega and buy a Savage 10ML-II. I own two and they will shoot circles around any of'em. I ought to know I've owned about every muzzleloader you can name except CVA/Winchester which are crap. My Savage will put 3 holes under a nickle at 100yds. You don't have any of the cleaning issues and smokeless powder is alot cheaper than black or black subs, plus Savage is the safest muzzleloader you can buy period.
