Synthetic Stock for Tikka 595

I did a general Google Search for stocks that fit the older .223 Rem, Tikka 595 that I have and found that Beretta still has a few left. The rifle is quite heavy with the wood stock, so I don't tend to take it on walkabouts and have been looking for light stocks and even considered buying another rifle for carrying around. I considered a T3 or Rem 700, but didn't want to spend $600 for one, so, even at $250, I'm really happy to find the stock.

The T3, in .243 That I have is great, but the 595 is even nicer and the trigger is exceptional. Accuracy is 1/4" at 100 yards with a varmint load and it's a ball to shoot offhand.

While ordering, I also chose to replace the flush magazine I lost for the T3.

Merry Christmas to meee.

Good stuff, Picher. I like the older M595/695 Tikka actions. For some odd reason I sold my M695 in .270... one of those "what were you thinking" moments. I don't have a T3 of any flavor.

Bad news: Although the stock was advertised to fit my 595, it didn't. It was for a longer-action model. Nicely made and a bit heavier than the T3 Lite factory stock, someone may want to pick it up.

Fortunately, Beretta has a 30-day warrantee and supplies a UPS return shipping label. The website said it's out of stock at this time, but they should have the returned stock in a couple of days.

I called and e-mailed Beretta to let them know about the problem with the Website post. The guy told me the stock was supplied by a second-party contractor and gave me the number to call if I wanted a stock to fit my rifle. I've got the number, but decided the stock wasn't quite as light as I'd hoped, so won't be calling.
