Switching Glock 27 to .357 SIG

Anybody done this? What's involved - anything more than a new barrel? I love the .357 SIG in my SIG 229 and am thinking of going that route with my G27

If you've got a newer G27, (FG & Accesory rails) it's just a barrel switch. I understand older models don't have the frame support required.

Allow me to make a correction. 1. The G27's do not have rails. 2. The "Frame Strength" scenario applies to older Glock 23's. On older G23 frames the "slide insert rails" were not of sufficient length for the slide velocity generated by the 357 Sig. If you have a new model 2nd generation frame or a 3rd generation frame, you're O.K. If in doubt, get the calipers out and check. Someone will probably post the exact measurements. Or, just call Glock to find out. The beauty of the 27 is that one can purchase a quality 357 Sig barrel and just drop it in.

Drop the barrel in and the mags are interchangeable. What a deal, 2 guns for the price of one. That is what i love about my G27!!

A Kimber in one hand and a Glock in the other. All of the bad guys are looking for cover!
