Swiss K31's

I know I can get a run of the mill K31 for J&G or other importers, but I'd like to find a collector grade K-31. Anyone have any leads?

No such thing. All K31s have pretty banged up stocks; anybody offering one without dings and in museum perfect condition has reworked it and did away with what collector value it had.

Read up on the history of the rifles, you'll see why I say this. They're almost always great shooters and worthy of being collected, but you just won't find one that's in great shape with collector value still intact.

Every one of them is collector grade, dings and all. They are not making them any more, ever.

THIS!

There are a few "civilian" issued K's around, big bucks. I've seen some very pretty refinished rifles if you don't mind a refinish. A collector grade well be in original dinged condition.

These have had some fresh blo added to the furniture.

This one is still in original shellac

I' be careful of getting a "collector grade" K31 from anywhere. Likely they're refinished. Carefully and well done, but refinished nevertheless.

Just get yourself a "run of the mill" K31 and you will be happy with it.

madcratebuilder what scope/mount did you use? and what kind of muzzle brake or flash hider is that. You've done pretty much what i wanna do with a k31 so I was curious

The scope mount is from Swiss products, their clamp on model. Very sturdy, it off sets the scope to the right about 3/4 inch so ejection is not a problem.

The brake is also from SP, they offer a clamp on or screw on. I found a great deal on a rifle that was already threaded so i used the screw on. Very effective brake.
