Sw9ve pistol issue

I am returning this new gun to Smith for the second time. It had jammed constantly through 118 rounds, and returned it was FTE almost each time. I was using PMC Bronze 9 mm ammo, and checking it on Cabela reviews there was only one case of about 10% failures, the overall rating was 4.6 out of 5.
SW said they modified the barrel (whatever that means) and replaced the ejector. However if I am having such a problem, can they have tested it? And this is not limp-wrist, etc., I being familiar with handguns generally. Comments, anyone? Thanks.

Not that I'm any expert or gun "guru", but in my experience, get some ammo other than PMC. I've never had PMC perform consistently or cleanly.

I think you may be hitting on something, Beartrak. I recall now one reviewer saying PMC was low power. And that is the way the pistol is behaving, as though the power just was not there. It seems that it might be better to, as you recommend, trying some other ammo and not send the gun back to Smith again. It does puzzle me though as to why so many shooters seem to be getting by with PMC.

get some defensive loads like gold dot or similiar that are definate full power loads and run them through the gun. if you still have the issue then back to S&W.

also, i was looking at the same gun at buds and am tempted to get one for a cheap "truck gun" and most have good reviews. either you ammo is not good with a possibly heavy recoil spring in the gun, or the gun is just a lemon.

let us know what you find out.

Will do. Another thing that bugs me is a rectangular wear mark in front of "9mm" on the top. I had polished it almost off before sending it to SW. The gun came back still polished but the mark showed up again after I tested it with 11 rounds. Makes me wonder if they even fired it.
