SW99 striker spring

I experienced two light primer hits with my SW99 9mm (round #450 and round #1600). Will putting a heavier striker spring on the gun eliminate this problem? Or is this problem associated with a firing pin that is slightly short?

CAK, it could be either but I'd try the heavier spring first. If that doesn't remedy the problem I'd send it back to S&W. George
