SW5... An Affordable MP5 Clone, made in the USA?

A buddy of mine in the Teams has alerted me to a new MP5 clone, also an HK91 clone, supposedly made in the USA, perhaps in the Phoenix or Tucson area.
Anybody have any concrete data on these, and a source or site for the company making them?

Check Shotgun News

I have seen these clones in Shotgun News. Wish I could help you more. I know someone else will get back to you real soon.

I got my SW5 6 months ago. It is an exact copy of the HK94. Works great and shoot/handle/feel just like an HK94. One minor thing is SW5 likes hot 9mm ammo and had some problem with cheap practice 115gr FMJs.

Well its an SMG and not a pistol... it was designed to be a select fire weapon - hence the prefrence for spicy food.
Corbons should make it very happy.

i think one of the pricipals from specialweapons posted in a thread about their products this summer...

they make an HK 12 gauge!

The SW5 has had the typical new gun teething problems, but most seem to have been ironed out. Earlier forearms weren't supported under the cocking tube and let the forearm rattle around. Bad extractor springs have been encountered.

http://www.hk91.com has a lot of threads regarding the SW5. There are also a lot of flame wars between Todd@specialweapons and his detractors. If you do a search over there, you'll have to wade through a lot of nonsense, but there is decent info.
