SW Model 27

In that condition, $375 sounds like a good price for a Model 27. The dealer in my area would probably charge $425 and up for the same gun.

My local dealer just called. He has a NIB S&W Model 27-6 for $375. Is that a good price?[/quote]

It's OK, not great...

Depending on where you are, it could be higher or lower...

I just bought an 8 3/8" 27-2 (pinned and recessed) at the Tulsa gun show 99% in the Bangor Punta two piece blue box with the paper and cleaning kit for $350 and I thought that was a little high. I would rather have an old P&R original than a new one, but that is just me.

Bought a 27-2 S&W 6" about a year ago with walnut case for $250. It's the most accurate handgun I've ever owned. I'm with Jeff, there's just something about those old P&R Smiths. regards, birdman

I got it. Boy is she beautiful. I'm not sure I can bring myself to shoot it. Now I need an I and M frame to round out my collection. Below is a list of candidates:
.22 Hand Ejector Ladysmith M

.32 Hand Ejector Round Butt I model 30
.32 Regulation Police Square Butt I model 31
.38 Terrier 2 inch Round Butt I model 32
.38 Regulation Police Square Butt I model 33
.22/32 Kit I model 34 4 inch
.22/32 Target I model 35 6 inch

Where can I find one of these? Which one would be the best?

Just as a point of reference the model 27 was discontinued in 1994. So eventhough this one is NIB, Smith is not making any money from the sale.

ARKCHAZ, you may want to look at http://www.collectit.net to locate the others needed to round out your collection. That is the URL for Gun List.
