I have two main questions and i apoligize in advance if the answer are buried in the forum somewhere.

First does anyone know anything about the Smith and Wesson model 620 (new version of the M66) this gun seems brand new and i'm kinda curious about it. Is it better then the M66?

Anyway i already have a SW1911 and i would like to add a revolver to my collection. I want a 4inch .357 and have narrowed the choices to (if you can consider this narrowed)

Ruger Gp100
S&W M66
S&W M620
S&W M686
Taurus M66

I'm basically looking for something that will last, so the question is which of these models can be consider good designs, durable, well made, etc. I mainly just want to know which of these won't crap out on me after years of shooting. I hate having problems with firearms!

well thanks in advance

In my opinion the older 686 and 66 are the best bet, followed by the Ruger, the Taurus, and finally the new 620 with internal lock. I just can't get myself to pay for something so damned obvious and ugly.

I personally would suggest the GP100 over the Smiths for durability. I deal in used gun in the shop I work in and the used Rugers tend to be in better shape than their counterparts from Smith or Taurus. Not that any of the Smiths wouldn't stand up to a lifetime of shooting, either will serve you as a good gun. In my experience the Rugers are built like tanks and rarely have issues. Good luck, let us know what you get.
