surprised myself

Just this past saturday my wife and I had a yard sale. I had a chrome with pink pearl grips lorcin L25 sitting in the safe that I took from my mom after upgrading her to a Rossi 357 6shot revolver. So I decided to put the lorcin in the sale. I was gonna put 75 on it until I seen some of the prices for them on guns america. So I put 125 on it and half expected to be laughed at. Surprisingly enough though 1 hour into the sale someone offered 115 and I took it. The lorcin only had 25 rounds through it but we only paid 55 for it new in 1996. Let's just say it was a good sale.

Some of the people who buy handguns at garage sales and flea markets and such are willing to pay a premium for handguns that don't require a background check. For some it's an "off the grid" kind of thing, others may not be able to pass a background check at an FFL.

All was good with this sale though. I asked him for driver license to give receipt for both him and I and he gave me the license and his indiana ccw permit. I juist think its a sign of the times. Still a lot of panick buying which amazes me.

I think the reason so many people are panic buying, is because of the current status of our government. I have seen people buying five or six guns at one time, because they are afraid that the government is going to eventually take away their right to bear arms.

We he got a basically new gun for $115 with no taxes, shipping, ffl fees etc. About the lowest price I have seen on anything new is a Phoenix .25 at about $120 and that is before shipping FFL etc. So you both did OK. I just bought a Beretta 21 for $200 locally, Seller said it has had 50 rounds through it (and the gun looks it) got a nice ambi holster and extra magazine. Might have found online cheaper, but this was a no hassle FTF sale. Gun shoots great BTW

Best yard sale gun deal I know of was a friend of mine who was 16 at the time bought a .300 Savage. This was in 1980. His mother and father drug him with them. While they were looking at one yard sale, he find an old man with a model 99 Savage in .300 Savage for sale. The old man wanted $60. My buddy got it and three boxes of shells for $50. The gun was made about the WWII.
