Don't know if this helps, but I have shot a lot of .223 Wolf steel-cased Russian ammo through a .223 AK. No problems. But it was designed for that...
I have also shot several flavors of surplus .308 through my Remington 700. Never a feeding problem. Always brass, though. Accuracy is never as good as name-brand manufactured ammo. My .308 gets 1-2" groups with factory ammo, and 3-4" groups with surplus ammo.
I HAVE had quite a few problems with Wolf 9mm sticking in my pistol. I have heard rumors that a hot barrel will begin to melt the laquer on the Wolf ammo. Once the laquer gets in the chamber, anything will stick. Cannot confirm that this is the cause; can only confirm that I have had lots of "sticking" problems.
There was another poster (here or at AK-47.net?) who posted a photo of a wolf 9mm round that was significantly longer than spec. So I only shoot Wolf in the AK.
