Surely someone makes a holster for it???

I can't believe it, bought a new Ruger Redhawk in .44 mag, w/a 5 1/2" barrel, and I can't find a SINGLE holster made for it. What gives??? Found alot for SA Blackhawks, Vaquero's, etc. but not a single one for the Redhawk. I was hoping for a right hand cross draw holster in a belt setup, one that had a trigger guard and a hammer strap, but I can't find a single thing. Help me out guys - this is ridiculous. Welcoming ANY and ALL suggestions...except shoulder rigs. :(

Did you try galco's site? If not I bet someone could help me here. I remember someone posting about a gentlemen that makes custom holsters. It might be pricy, but I think you could finnaly rest from your angst.

You might try El Paso Saddlery. Their #1920 "Crossdraw" looks just like what you are looking for. I am looking at the '98 or '99 catalog and that holster is pictured with a Redhawk in it.

Check them out at www.epsaddlery.com

If you're not a little upset with the way the world is going, you're not paying attention.

Bianchi might have something. I have one of their shoulder/belt rigs that fits the Redhawk, Model 29 Smith, Colt Python, and Colt Anaconda. Another possibility is Ross Leather. They are making some really nice suede lined rigs. They are of a quality like Bianchi used to be when Bianchi first went in business. I think it is http://www.rossleather.com
I special ordered a flap holster from them for the Glock 21. They have a lot of distributors so you may want to check with them about who is in your area if interested.

Own three 5.5" Redhawks and shoot two in IPSC. (no speedloaders for the 45LC)

Contact Milt Sparks Holsters for their superb HRS.

For less bucks get a BagMaster or Uncle Mike's.

Try El Paso Saddlery. Their craftmanship is impecable, their price is resonable, and their service is first class. I have several and love them all. They are a cut above anything else I've owned. Just my $.02. I have one of the Tom Three persons no cant for my S&W 6" Mod 29. Good luck.

Hey appreciate all the replys you guys. Checked Galco already, they don't make one. Checked El Paso Saddlery, found a 1920 Tom Three Persons holster, but it doesn't have a trigger guard, the holster stops at the front of the trigger guard and I was wanting to find a holster that enclosed the trigger area for safety reasons. Never found anything called a 1920 Crossdraw on their website, guess I'll give them a call today. Bianchi had two that fit it, neither was what I was looking for, at twice the price of El Paso. :( Couldn't get Ross Leather to download. Gonna check into Milt Sparks and Walden Leather next. Question - I'm thinking a holster that covers the trigger area, plus has a trigger snap to hold it in place, is going to be the safest route to take. Is this overkill in your opinion since it will have the trigger snap? Bear in mind I'll be riding my mules with this holster, going thru alot of brush, etc.

Check out http://www.cowboyleather.com here in town. We stumbled across their shop one day and they seem to produce excellent quality leather.

I'm thinking about getting a western style cross draw holster & belt with a thumb break from them for a S&W 629 with 6 1/2 tube.

You should also check out Kirkpatrick Leather http://www.kirkpatrickleather.com/ this is the cross draw I was thinking about till we stumbled across the place here in town. http://www.kirkpatrickleather.com/3900.html

Appreciate all the response everyone. Got told about San Pedro Saddlery from someone on the SASS forum, and am having exactly what I want made up for me. You might want to check out their website, it's www.sanpedrosaddlery.com Very nice folks to deal with, and custom projects aren't a problem, and won't cost you an arm and a leg. Thanks again for all the help.

Try Blade-Tech in Tacoma Washington. They make custom fitted Kydex holsters. I ordered one yesterday. You can get their phone number from their web site.
