Great forum and I'm not sure if I posted this before since I've been asking this question a number of forums w/o luck to get various opinions.
I want to get a dedicated surefire 6V unit for my 1911 Kimber but wasn't sure which version was superior. The grip screw mounted one or the velcro mounted one. Anyone with either setup please post pros and cons.
On the grip screw version do you need a longer screw, what type of screw is it and what colors can you get (stainless or blue).
On the velcro version, does this involve adhesive directly to the weapon or is it an elastic band type setup.
Finally, if I mount a can suppressor, how will this affect the light output? Will it negate it to the point where it will affect the light's use?
