Surefire Modifications to Accept Rechargeable Batteries?

I have a SureFire E2D Defender and a Wine Light II (basically a 6P).

What I'm trying to do is reconfigure the flashlights to use rechargeable batteries, namely RCR123A. I see two different ratings on All-Battery's site.

One charger/battery combo provides 900mAh 3.2 peak volts that drops back to 3.0v when loaded...

The other combo is a 750mAh 3.6 peak volts that drops to 3.2v working...

http://www.all-battery.com/6rcr123a...eablebatterieswithasmartcharger-specials.aspx

Is there a difference on which to get?

Also, I was told that I need to change out the bulb/reflector assembly to accept the higher peak voltage compared to a regular battery.

Any help will be appreciated. If you provide a link to a flashlight forum, it probably won't do me any good. I tried looking over a couple of them and I either haven't gotten a straight answer or I get a calculus level one to the answer of 2+2.

All I'm asking is what bulb part # to get and which charger/battery combo to go along with it.

You can use the 3.2 volts in your incandescent lights.

The 3.6 volts is for LED's that are rated for it.

If you have a wine light II the bulb is 25 lumens, but you can use the bulb of the E2D for a 60 lumens high.

The Wine Light II is an E series light, same as the E2e or E2O, it is nor the same as the Surefire 6P

Here is a picture of it:

Skydiver3346,

While the E2e and E2D was billed as a tactical light (60 lumens for 1 hour) the Wine Light II and the E2O was sold as flashlights (25 lumens for 2 1/2 hours).

Here is another rare one from my E series collection
The E2e CJ (Jungle Camo)

For more of the variations of the Executive (E) series of Surefire, go to the post # 8 in my thread LIGHTS FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT, here is the link

Thanks. I'll probably get the 3.2 then. I don't like LED for my application.

I stand corrected on the technical difference. However, I never said it was the same as the 6P, only a generic description of what I have albeit not the best.

Here is a picture of it:

Um, I don't need a picture of the flashlight. Like I said, I already have it.:D

Thanks for the help.

Yes, I know, I sold it to you.

By the way, get the Ultra Fire charger together with the 3.2 batteries and make sure it have the aluminum extensions to charge the 123's.
The reason to get that charger is that the Nano charger can held only one battery.

And get protected batteries (protected by a chip in the tail) as the unprotected are too dangerous to use in series.

Best regards
