Suppressor for .300/.308 and .223

Hi, I am lookin into getting 2 sound supp's, one to be used on both my .300 Win Mag and .308 Win and another fer my AR-15 in .223. I haven't read or even really looked into them until recently and haven't really had anyone give me advice from first hand experience. What company(ies) make good sound supps and which ones should i stray from? I am looking for decent sound dampening fo both and within a 1k fer each if at all possible.

If you are a left handed shooter, you will not be happy with the gas from the ejection port on the AR15 in your face with a .223 silencer, step up to a .308 silencer and use that for both the .223 rifle and the .308 rifle.

I have not done it but I would step up to a larger silencer than one made for 308 to shoot the Win Mag.

For the .308 and .223 semi I would choose the YHM Stainless QD Phantom or AAC 7.62 SD.

For the larger bolt action rifle I would find something dedicated in Titanium like a Thunderbeast.
 
Lol..save you some money..go send off for the proper paper work from the atf..get permission FIRST..and then build you one tailored for each rifle...600 bucks for three rifles...add another 300 bucks for material and you are good to need...those things are easy as pie to make...well that is if you got a lathe and a milling machine...I used to work in a class 3 gun shop that had a manufacturing license and when people came in wanting one we asked if they wanted a gemtech or somthing similar or if they wanted us to build a tailored one for there rifle........then three months later they where good to go
 
Forgive my ignorance, but i was under the assumption that a 7.62 silencer wouldn't be as effective on a 5.56 because of the bigger diameter holes in the 7.62 supp. Is that right? And I was looking to get one I could switch between my .300 and my .308. would that "thunderbeast" do the trick?
 
Actually Hammer, I find my .30 cal YHM can is and suppresses the .223 better than the .223 YHM can. Again this is me.... and I have both but to me it seem to operate better and the gas in the face is less with the larger can. Just buy the .30 cal can YHM and have fun or do as I did and get both and find out not much difference but you'll have two.
 
All things being equal the .223 silencer would be quieter on the .223 than the .308 silencer, but things are not equal, the .308 silencer is longer and has more volume, that makes up for the oversized bore.
 
The "overbore" issue is highly overrated by many. I've found that when using a .308/.300 suppressor, even though the gas volume is very similar, a .260 is noticeably quieter at the ear.
 
I have a fair number of customers who run a 30 cans on .223s, from what i have seen often the 30 does just as good of a job as the dedicated .223 can would on most ARs and some bolt guns.
 
I run a single .30 caliber can that's designed for the M14 on my 5.56mm AR, 7.62x39 AKM and 7.62mm M14s... I see no need to change.
 
I think the main reason folks don't run 308 suppressors on 5.56 is because of weight and size of the suppressor. If you are into suppressors, just get the right one one for each format. For NFA, they are still relatively inexpensive.
