Support the NRA via Amazon.com

If you have an Amazon account, you can go to http://smile.amazon.com/ and select the charity of your choice (including The NRA Foundation and NRA Civil Defense Fund) and Amazon will donate 0.5% of all your annual purchases to that organization!

This is a great way to support RKBA easily. The whole process took me less than 60 seconds.

Great idea. Read the details though it's only on certain items marked as eligible and if you access the site via smile.amazon.com to do your shopping.

Every little bit helps even with the stipulations.

Great Info. I just did it. I do not buy much from Amazon, but every little bit counts, especially when it does not require any expense from our part.

Which NRA charity would be best served by the money? When I went to choose there were three options.

The NRA Foundation, Inc.
Civil Liberties Advocacy
Fairfax, VA
Founded 1990
The NRA Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that raises tax-deductible contributions in support of a wide range of firearm-related public interest activities of the National Rifle Association of America and other organizations that defend and foster the Second Amendment rights of all law-abiding Americans. These activities are designed to promote firearms and hunting safety, to…

NRA Civil Rights Defense Fund
Civil Liberties Advocacy
Fairfax, VA
Founded 1978
The NRA Board of Directors established the NRA Civil Rights Defense Fund in 1978 to become involved in court cases establishing legal precedents in favor of gun owners. To accomplish this, the Fund provides legal and financial assistance to selected individuals and organizations defending the right to keep and bear arms. In addition, the Fund sponsors legal research and education on a wide variety…

Nra Freedom Action Foundation
Single Organization Support
Fairfax, VA
Founded 2008
To educate Americans with respect to their individual rights as citizens, with particular emphasis on the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States, and engage in nonpartisan voter registration.

I chose the Civil Rights Defense Fund but was wondering if there was a better choice.

Neat!

I'm surprised that Amazon hasn't taken a TON of flak for doing this.

(Maybe THOSE PEOPLE haven't noticed yet...)

Amazon is my primary retail source, I buy thousands of dollars every year from there including almost 100% of my gift shopping and school shopping. Great to know!

Read the details though it's only on certain items marked as eligible and if you access the site via smile.amazon.com to do your shopping

You can use the regular site or a phone app to put things in your cart as long as you checkout through the smile.amazon.com website. Since it is connected to Amazon, all your cart, login cookies, etc. are still recognized.

Thanks. I was totally unaware of this program. I do a lot of buying on Amazon, and I am an Amazon Prime member. For an annual fee (I think it is now $75 I get two-day shipping free on almost everything I order on Amazon. I easily make back the fee in saved shipping charges just for the holiday and birthday gifts for my nine grandchildren, let alone for what I buy for myself. Plus I get to video stream movies for free to my Kindle Fire. Now I also get to support the NRA. Again, thanks for the info.
