I was reading shoot gun news and saw an advert. for the super vepr.It looks slick, does anybody know any thing about it?Thanks J.

Search archives for more info. In short:

PROS: 1.5" at 100m accuracy, reliable.
CONS: magazines limited to 10rd and expensive.

Typical AK ergonomics, if you like them, that's great. OK sights, most come with scopes.

It is probably a handier gun than an FAL, though with more recoil. Parts/magazines would be my main worry.

my standard vepr's recoil is moderate if not non-existent (compared to other .308's)
the 10rd mad capacity sucks, but overall a very impressive ak varient. especially for it being a .308 and under $600.

Oh my gosh, the Vepr II is pretty! I think that I'm in love.

I just got a FAL, how can I justify a .308 AK? Well I don't have any kind of AK now do I? Hmmm... Darn I need more money!

Thanks for sharing that pic dz.

yep and check out the Vepr 762x39 rifle

it takes 30 round AK mags!!!

they must be doing the 10 usa parts routine

now we need a Vepr that takes FAL mags!

i just heard from Alex at Robinson:

quote:
It's not 10 USA made parts, it's that you can only use 10 imported parts
from a certain list. We use the correct number of foreign and US made
parts.

You will be able to buy the stock with pistol grip, handguard, and the
internal parts necessary to be legal for $150.00. If you have a VEPR .223,
we also have to modify other parts and there'll be an additional charge.

We will have the same parts for the .308. We don't have a high cap option.[/quote]
