I'm interested in buying a Ruger Super Redhawk . I was wondering if somebody could explain the various differances between the 44 , & 480 . I know thw 44 would be cheaper to shoot & all like that . I would be using it mainly for deer hunting & for protection in the wood from bigger more dangerous animals such as bear . Whats the longest distances an animal could could be taken with the two calibers. What kind of ballistics between the 44 Mag & Ruger 480 . The Ruger Redhawk is supposed to be about one of the best of the bests Right ? I handled one today & loved the looks & feel . Hows the recoil of the two ?
