Suggestions for G23 carry holster!

I have a conceal carry holster (Galco Waistband Inside the Pant) but it has a button snap and I can't draw from it with ease. I am looking for an open holster for concealment. I would like to have one that allows the shirt to be tucked in between the belt straps and the holster.
Any suggestions for my G23?

Probably not the answer you are looking for but having tried IWB holsters, I've come to the decision that I don't like them for my G23. I now use and really like a Fobus Paddle holster.

jearne, like you, I was not sure about a Kydex holster until I started wearing my G27 in a IWB Sidearmor. IMHO, the best Glock holster on the market. My G30 also rides in a Sidearmor IWB.

I carry my G23 in a Fobus Paddle or a cheapo Nylon IWB holster.

Both work great.

Are you refering to the Galco Royal Guard? I have one of those for my G30 but it also fits my G23 with only a little play. I had problems with presentation but some TFL's told me some tips to make it easier to draw with and now I have no problems. I still prefer to carry in my Fobus or my Nylon.

I have a Bianchi #3S with a thumb-break for my P220 and I don't have any trouble with a rapid draw from it. Smooth as budder.;) ;) :D

No I wasn't refering to the Royal Guard, it is simply called the Waistband Inside The Pant Holster WB226, it has a thumb break button on it and a plastic over the belt clip. Very unhappy with it.

So I bought a Galco Royal Guard Inside the Pants Holster and I couldn't be happier. Easy to draw from, extremely light and small. Strong button snap loops, I went with the tough horsehide!
Way more expensive but worth it to me!!

I carry my G23 in a Galco Concealable. However, I recently purchased a custom made Alessi belt slide unit for my 1911. I compared it to my Concealable and was surprised at the difference. The concealable is a fine holster but it is no Alessi. The Alessi is simply slimmer, lighter and overall much better made. I noticed small things like the leather dye, burnishing and stitching were much better on the Alessi. Also, the boning was much more detailed. For the same price you will pay for a mass produced leather holster, you can buy a hand made holster produced to your specs. R&F Holsters(www.rfholsters.com) keeps several models in stock. I have nothing to gain here. Simply another satisfied customer of Lou Alessi.

I, too, am looking for a holster for a G23. I prefer a paddle type that will secure the pistol better than the Fobus.??????????????
You could check Mitch Rosen Workman holster - I used to have one for my G27, but gave it away cause IWB holsters are just too uncomfortable for me anyway. It was well built, not cheap, and the guy I gave it too really likes it. Now, I use the Uncle Mikes pocket hoster for the G27. Whether or not Mitch Rose makes the workman for the G23, you'll have to check.

cmsgt,

You will not find a better kydex paddle holster than the G=Code, as mentioned earlier by George Hill. My two G-Codes are my absolute favorite holsters. I wear them more than any other holster I own... other than my stinkin' Bianchi duty holster. If I'm off duty I have a G-Code within reach! :D
