First, a huge "Thanks!!!!" goes to TFL member Steve Smith for pointing me to Jim Owen's website. Thus far, it's been a huge help in improving my shooting scores. In only 2 days of dry-fire practice in my living room using his techniques, I've managed to improve my shooting score from a shakey 375 (in 50 shots) to a firm 395!!
Jim Owens is a High Power rilfe instructor with a very informative website on the subject. He's authored many books, and even offers the first 4 chapters of his main book, "Sight Alignment, Trigger Control and the Big Lie", for free download. In those first 4 chapters, you can see that he writes in very down-to-earth manner, and his instruction is explained for shooters, of any level of expertise, to understand easily.
Whether you plan to attend High Power Rifle competitions, shoot paper targets in your backyard, or just want to bag that elk, I'd suggest visiting Jim Owen's site.
Sometimes, the wisest men have the firmest grasp on the plainly obvious. Mr Owen's writings can really open your eyes, for some of you shooters out there.
I can't wait for his books to arrive. I've ordered the entire set, to make sure I get the total lesson. Thanks again, Steve.
