Tried the Remington out today. Doc, you are right, it is a good gun.The CW guys were very helpful. One in particular spent the morning helping me and instructing my wife using his Remington. The loader worked great. I could load 2 cylinders while the musket people were taking a break. As suggested here I loaded 25 grains Pyrodex P, wad, and .454 ball. This was a get acquainted shoot. At 20 yds, hit a milk jug a half dozen times and a 2 liter bottle a few times. Fired about 30 rounds. My wife hit the target twice with 2 loads. We haven't been on a range in about 7 years, so were pleased with the results. The misses were not the fault of the revolver. Next time a bench rest and actual targets to test accuracy. But, I feel the sights are right on. My hits were not random, and were at the end of the session. Very pleased indeed!
