Subsonic loads

Ok this maybe a long shot but has any one ever loaded subsonic 30-30? I recently bought a silencerco harvester and want to thread my Winchester ranger for it but no company that I have found makes subsonic 30-30 so I was wondering if any one has any load data for it or know where to get some premade

Ive never done 30-30 but im betting a 220gn round nose and Trailboss could be made to work.

No idea on starting load...sorry

Hammerhead both. Mostly will be used on the range and once in a while on pigs. Where can I get heavy 30-30 bullets or would I have to cast them myself?

30/30 squirrel load

I have a old Marlin that I like so well I load it for squirrel hunting. Load is
sub- sonic by accident. Bullet is Hornady 308, 100 gr. 1/2 jacket rn
5.5 gr Unique, LRP/Win. gives you about 1050 fps. Deadly at 50 yds. Never
loaded down heavy bullets. Could run into low pressure blow back taking
velocity down that far. Failure to build enough chamber pressure for case to
expand and seal in chamber. Make sure to wear eye protection when loading
down. 1086fps at sea level is sub-sonic, that's close to 50% decrease in velocity.
1086 fps is the speed of sound also.

Where are you located? I load a lot of subsonic ammo in 223, 300blk and 308. I dont load 30-30 but id be happy to give you a hand if youre close.

Ive thought about threading my Marlin 336 for my SDN-6, just havent done it yet

Google it, there is a bunch of info on there about. some sub loads. trail boss will be the powder to use because of the density and the 180 grain round nose Sierra's

Here are a few sub loads for various Lyman Cast Bullet manuals.
170 gr. cast bullets

SR-4756 7.0 grs. 1102 fps. 10.5 grs. 1423 fps.

TiteGroup 4.5 grs. 960 fps. 6.5 grs. 1383 fps.

2400 7.0 grs. 1005 fps. 11.0 grs. 1377 fps.

Bullseye 5.0 grs. 990 fps. 7.4 grs. 1263 fps.

I shoot a lightweight sub load for plinking and small game in my 30-30 pump gun. it runs just under 1100 fps. pretty accurate at 50 yds.

Sub-sonic heavies haven't been very accurate for me. 150 or lighter. My most accurate sub-sonic load is a Magnus 115 gr .309" LRN (.30 carbine bullet) over 6.0 gr Trail Boss. Groups well out to 100 yards. Clocks right around 1100 fps.

You are going to want to test for stability out of that 30-30 and whatever load you come up with. Easy way to ruin a suppresor, shooting unstable loads. :(

my 30-30 loads

I was searching for a good subsonic load.
Used trailboss from 7 to 14gn with H&N 125gnHP and H&N 160gn RN.
no good results, to much variations. Due to ?????, tried a lot, only neck resize,
weighing bullets,cases,lenght sizing......
Began using vectan AO but still subsonic gave to much flyers.
But, 10gn vectan AO with 125gn H&N HP gave me constant groups of
2 to 4" at 110 yards. With my winchester 1984 and NO SCOPE. It's against what
everybody says to stay away from the subsonic-window. My velocity's are,
0meter - 350m/s (496J) 50m - 326m/s (430J) 100m - 307m/s.
proof- always shot first cold barrel at 50m.
