I just traded for this m40. Trying to get right sight picture. Having problems. I know how inportant It is to be able to see front sight. When I put front sight between the bottem two slash marks it does not shoot good. When I put the front sight on top of the marks it does very good. Did I just lock up or is this correct?

How I aim my Steyr's trapezoidal is how I tell everyone else shooting it for the first time. Shoot a few shots to see where different alignments impact and then aim them the way that works the best for you. I line them up pretty much like the picture above.

Its been so long since I've shot my M9 I don't remember what sight picture worked best for me. Time to break it out of the safe and fix that.
