I've only been to a range twice. The first was a sort of assortment to try, most aimed at tourists and people without a licence who fancy a go.
Amongst the selection I opted for I fired a Ruger Super Redhawk with the .454 casull rounds. That was mad as a fish.
Then I tried a Desert Eagle .50. That was equally bonkers.
The instructor said that the latter was more of a bling gun and too nuts to be useful in a practical sense.
I've since seen that Ruger decided to stuff a .454 through a stubby 2.5 inch barrel in the Alaskan. Handy if you meet a p!ssed off bull elephant in an alleyway, I suppose.
So like the engineering firm that decides to stick a Veyron lump in a mini chassis, what nuts handguns are actually out there, even if they are utterly impractical?
Pictures, vids: all good!!
