Stupid question regarding my Bushmaster.

I was living overseas in 1993-1994 when I came back for a holiday. I discovered that the assault weapons ban was about to take place so I bought a Bushmaster CAR 15. Can anyone tell me about it, it is model XM15-E2S. On the flash supressor it says H-Bar. It also has a telescoping stock. What does all this mean? I've never fired ot so it is in mint condition. It is serial number L050xxx.

Thanks for the info. in advance.

Your questions aren't stupid,,,but posting your serial #,, er, well you might want to edit your post ;) We usually use a few xxx's in there somewhere.

Bushmaster can probably tell you more than I can. Call them.
H-Bar on the flash suppressor doesn't mean anything in itself. H-Bar stands for heavy barrel.

if you bought it new from a dealer and it has the threaded barrel end & a bayonet lug and a collapsable stock...

then you sir, own a pre ban semi automatic weapon,
it is prolly worth 1300 to 1500 bucks
there will be no more (unless the 1994 ban sunsets)
there are not as many Bushmaster pre bans as colts.

Yes DZ, it has all of those. That's great. I also have three 30 rd mags for it. I guess I'll go get some ammo.

Thanks for the info.
