Stupid Mass. AG laws

Is there a list of firearm manufacturers who have complied with the AG's testing for handguns? I just wanna know what type of new semiauto pistols I can legally buy according to this idiot, and I haven't been able to locate one. I know that Smith & Wesson have complied, and I believe Sig Sauer has, as well. Does anyone know of any other companies? I really want to get a Ruger, Glock or Beretta, but I know that the latter two are nothing doing, unless they're manufactured pre-10/98.

I was looking at the Ruger P97DC, however I was told they didn't start making those until '99. What did Ruger produce prior to this model?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

New, you are only going to find Sig, S&W, and Walther P99's. However, there are plenty of pre 10/98 Glocks and Beretta's out there if you look. I just ordered a used glock 27 from CT and had it transferred.

Excuse me for buttin' in, but...

Why pre- 10/98??

I'm not from Mass, but I like to keep track of the idiot rules that get tagged on my fellow shooters.

Thanks

Maverick13:

There is no list because the AG refuses to release one. I'm not aware of Ruger semi-autos being approved. I've heard one person say that the Village Gun Shop in Northboro has them for sale, but haven't checked personally as I'm not in the market for a Ruger.

Four Seasons Firearms has some reconditioned Glocks and are expecting more http://www.fsguns.com

Coin Collector's Gallery had some used Berettas http://www.collectorsguns.com

A.G. Guns in Lowell also had some used Glocks http://www.agguns.com

I've bought a number of guns from Greg & A.G. Danas at A.G. Guns and from Carl at Four Seasons and can heartily endorse them as being stand-up guys who've put a lot of their heart and soul (and money) into fighting for our rights. Give them a call and tell them Jared sent you.

I suggest that you join the Mass. Firearms mailing list. Instructions for doing so can be found on the GOAL web site http://www.goal.org

You are a member of GOAL, I assume?

I find Fourseasonsguns to be the best in MA, atleast from the shops I frequent.

I was just in there last week and picked up a NIB P-220 (MA Compliant) for a great price. While in the shop they had a ton of factory refurbished Glocks in there mostly .40s lots of 23s and 1 27. The 27 is a hot seller here so it might be gone but they had a bunch to chose from, this is your best bet for a Glock right now and you will pay a premium around $500

Also, their website that was already posted above has all the updates on the Regunlation and what companys are doing what, I recomend you check it out. http://www.fsguns.com

I'll second Four Season's as one of the best in the area.
You can subscribe to their e-mailing list from their website. They typically send daily updates on new pre 10/98 guns coming in.

ps. I'm not affiliated, just a customer.

I'll third Four Seasons as an excellent place to do business...Carl is definitly a pleasure to do business with.

I've done business with the Gallagher brothers in Stoneham at CCG....have always gotten good deals when I've bought there.

Got an email from Four Seasons today that if you buy a P99 you get either a P99 knife or a CO2 pistol...not a bad deal if you're in the market for a new pistol.

According to MA law, any guns can be bought and sold if they were manufactured before 10/21/98. So, MA people can get just about anything - so long as it was made before this date. Of course, trying to get a hold of someone at Glock to confirm a manufacture date is worse than trying to get Sprintpcs customer service on the line...

ajw,

I've recently moved to MA (LONG story) and needed to get manufacture information from Glock (Carl at Four Seasons is working with me on transferring my stuff into the state). I had a very pleasant experience making the request to Glock and received the information I needed quickly.

I called 770-432-1202 and got "Mic" at extension 213. I would specifically try to go through her again were I in need of further service. She was bright, pleasant, and extremely helpful. Just my experience in case it might be of help to you.
