A small blurb in the Shreveport Times:

Published: August 19, 1999 Author: n/a

For those of you concerned about the school shootings, you might be
interested
to know that since 1993, 82 students have been murdered in shootings in
schools according to the National School Safety Center.
However, there have been 99 children killed by airbags mandated by the
federal
government.

We have a criminal jury system which is superior to any in the world;
and its efficiency is only marred by the difficulty of finding twelve men
every day who don't know anything and can't read.

We need airbag locks to help stop the senseless slaughter .

What we need is a lock on airbags that we can unlock in no more than 3 seconds. In an emergency, that little bit of time is not likely to influence the outcome of the event. Of course, nothing could match getting a lock off a gun 1.5 seconds after you have been shot a couple of times, except an airbag going off after you have had that accident.
