Stuck .25 round in a CZ 92 magazine

Hello all, once again!

I sorta inherited a CZ 92 .25 pistol, it´s pretty cool, all black and really small, I wanna use it as a permanent CCW, since it´s so small, under the philosophy of "better than nothing". Anyways, the one and only magazine it came with has five rounds in it, but it´s impossible for me to take them out. I want to un-load the magazine but the round just won´t come out. I am sure that I could add some rounds, but it´s just impossible to un-load this mag. Is this normal? If I were to load the pistol, would it load properly? How can I un-load this magazine if it were not normal?

Does the mag have sight holes along the side? If so, you can relieve the spring pressure using small dowels (bamboo skewers work well) and hopefully free up the follower and ammo.

Be careful! I wouldn't try to chamber any rounds until you've got this resolved. Sounds like the ammo is old and corroded together. Maybe add some penetrating oil first, and toss the old ammo when you're done.
 
yeah... did you just get this pistol and it was loaded? or did you load it and you cant unload it?... strange.

and assuming that its old and corroded (and the above didnt work)...
if things are corroded together take a wooden dowel rod place it on top of the loaded round through the mag lips and give it a few raps with a mallet to bust up any corrosion.

when you get those rounds out it wouldnt be a bad idea to replace the spring and scrub the crap out out of the inside of the mag with some hoppies #9 and a steel brush. hopefully you wont have to replace the mag

also if this is all due to corrosion and you got the piece loaded and in this condition you might want to take it into a gunsmith for a thorough cleaning and inspection to make sure the metal works of the gun are not corroded
 
yeah thing's like this, the pistol belonged to my pediatrician, who was a very good friend of the family. He died almost a year ago in a car crash. He was carrying this pistol and an identical one (by his driver) when he crashed. His wife gave my dad the guns so he could sell them for her, so my dad sold one and I told him I wanted the other one, out of sentimental value. So I just got it and I dont know who inserted these five rounds. The "stuck" round jingles and I can turn it, I can even push it down to insert another one, but it just won't go forward when I pus it out. And no, the mag does not have any pins :(
 
Hey guys, never mind, I figured it out. The rim of the upper round was stuck behind the rim of the lower round, so obviously it could not go forward. Thanks for the input though!
 
The .25 Auto is not "rimless", it is semi-rimmed, as is the .32 Auto, so that condition, called "rimlock" can happen. Be careful to avoid that condition when loading that magazine. It can't happen with some magazines, but will happen a lot of the time with others.
