Strongly Suggest Six Month Lead Time for Mass. NonRes Renewal Application

I have held a Massachusetts non-resident LTC for many years.

Based on my past several years of experience - since they instituted the requirement that you go to Boston for your yearly renewal - I have found that one should figure on a six-month lead time. If your license expires at the end of June, submit your renewal package in early January. This will get you an appointment in Boston for late April or early May, with your renewal showing up in the mail about a month later.

If you want to have even more of a buffer, I suggest you put your renewal in seven months prior to expiration. Remember, there is no 'grace period' for a non-resident LTC.
