Strayer Voight Competition 45

I thought I posted this earlier but I cannot find it. Sorry if this ends up a duplicate post.

I just had my first opportunity to fire a custom 1911 type 45 today. It was a Strayer Voight Competition 45 by Infinity.

It was sweet! There was no trigger pull. I touched the trigger and it fired. The recoil was like firing my Ruger MkII .22 pistol. My first 4 shots all went into the black. When the owner of the gun favorably commented on my performance and said I needed one of those, I whole-heartily agreed!

So, what does everybody think of this gun (the competition model) and the company (Strayer Voight)? How does it compare to a Wilson, Les Bauer or any of the other custom 45's?

Any comments welcome.

(I really shouldn't be thinking about it, I just bought a Glock 30. So, because of California's stupid law, I'll need to wait 30 days before another handgun purchase).

It would take me more than 30 days to arrange the financing! :D

Seriously, though, they just don't come much better than SV (that's what most people call them to keep from having to spell it). They, along with STI (almost identical), are the number one guns in IPSC. Excellent craftsmanship and feel make them ideal high end competition guns and they even make a few models for carry. A little pricey but worth every penny.

Thanks for the response.

I really enjoyed the 4 rounds I fired through that SV. when I told my shooting partner shooting this 45 was like shooting a 22 pistol, he was pretty impressed and wanted to get one as well.

I have 30 days to think about it since I just bought a Glock 30. If I can find one for sale in the $1500 range I may consider picking one up.

SV and STI's factory pistols are excellent pistols. SV has put out several innovative features such as the modular breech face, titanium options... bottom line, you won't go wrong with an SV.
