strange issue with my .40 conversion bbl

I experienced something strange at the range today and thought I'd share it.

I brought several guns to the indoor range today and shot them pretty well (by my standards).

I wen't to shoot my Glock 20 with a Lone Wolf .40 conversion barrel and my shots were all over the place. No groups at all - dinner plate sized patterns instead. I did not have this problem the last time I used this barrel (the ammo was the same as last time too) so I was kind of confused.

I dropped the stock 10MM barrel back in the gun and fired 25 or 30 rounds with much better accuracy so I'm not sure what the problem is.

I think I have fired about 150 rounds through the barrel without cleaning it. Could that be the problem?

Thanks

At what range? Shooting lead or jacketed? If you were shooting lead I guess it could get leaded in that time frame, but at short range that accuracy is still pretty extreme. Be interesting to see what those who know more come up with.

I've only shot jacketed bullets out of it and the replacement barrel has traditional lands and grove rifling not the polygonal kind that Glocks and HKs have.

I'm not sure of the exact range but from a comparison standpoint my shooting with the .40 barrel was not as good as it was the last time I shot the same ammo, same gun and same barrel. My 10mm groups were much better.

I can't see any fouling other than carbon but I'm not sure.

One thing I can say is the ammo I was shooting was Federal Aluminum cased range ammo which, I think, is a little dirtier than say, Winchester white box. Maybe that has something to do with it?
