The other day, at least 5 people were shot and killed by a gentleman described as an "immigration lawyer".
Included amongst the victims were a couple of oriental gentlemen, a lady of the Jewish faith, an east indian gentleman and a couple of caucasian gentlemen.
Seemingly, the varied origins of the victims have raised question of "civil rights violation", which has brought The FBI into the matter, despite the fact that any of the killings would constitute a straight forward STATE MURDER CASE.
I could certainly be wrong, but I suspect the end result will degenerate into a "turf battle" between local law enforcement and federal authorities. The sort of thing that does the general public, no good at all, though some of the players might get their names in the paper, or appear on television, making earth shaking pronouncements.
I wonder what ever happened to plain, old fashioned "law enforcement". One realizes that this sort of thing always comes into play, "after the fact". In a free country, it's kind of hard to enforce the law "before the fact", that being one of the problems that living in a free country requires one to put up with. Seems that the limited alternatives are ever so much worse. Still in all, one does wonder as to that ever happened to plain, old fashioned law enforcement.
