Storm Lake barrels

I bought a Storm Lake .357 Sig conversion barrel for my XDM 40 and it is a great barrel. Just about every load I've tried has been a winner, 2 to 2-1/2 groups at 25yrd are easy, less if I can do my part. Fit was perfect,I'm a machinist so I used my mics and compared to factory and found in many areas the Storm Lake barrel was tighter fitting than the factory. I can go to the range with one gun and in 1 min I can switch between 2 calibers. With the 357 Sig nothing has to be changed to the gun, with the 9mm barrel you have to change the recoil spring,9mm mags, and sometimes the ejector.
For around $150 you can "have a different gun",great deal!!

Your thread should have been posted in the "smithy" section of this forum. However, thanks for the personal recommendation & your experience with storm lake barrels.

My favorite barrel for my 1911 pistol, is a bar-sto stainless national match. Mine was installed in 1974 & is still performing at top-notch levels. I have heard nothing but good things about "slb".

I didn't know if it should be posted here or in the smithy but because it was just a drop in and no mods needed I put it here.,
