Storing slightly rusted ammo

Hey all, i bought 600 rnds of Czech surplus a while back and id estimate 1/3 of it has some either slight rust or blue tarnish...i had these in 2 military cans but found one of the cans had a bad seal so i dumped the contents into a plano dry box that was half filled with steel and brass cased ammo.

I didnt do any rust removal or anything, is the slightly rusted ammo going to continue to rust in the dry box? Also is the rusted stuff going to ruin my rust free ammo?

I bought a ton of surplus 308 a while back and a lot of the rounds had blue green on them. It turns out that it was a reaction to the acidic cardboard boxes they were stored in. I got a wire brush and went through them round by round scraping it off and then put them inside ammo cans with silica packs. I checked them after about 6 months and there was no further signs of tarnish.

Would it be safe to place slightly tarnished rounds in a tumbler, a few at a time? Or would there be enough vibration to cause a discharge? May be a very naïve question, but I am curious. No, I do not have a tumbler.

Yes you can safely place live rounds in a tumbler but I would still check them one by one and use a wire brush to get anything the tumbler missed.
