Interesting little story AP story from Davenport IA in the paper.
An armed robber who targeted a gas station and convenience store gave up and left after the clerk uttered just two words. It wasn't even a complete sentence.
The clerk at Kelly's Gas told police that a man in a black ski mask had come in just before midnight and pulled a handgun from his coat pocket, Lt. Rick Chase said.
As the clerk told it:
The man said , "I want your money."
The clerk responded, "Don't even."
"Ok," the gunman said.
He put his gun back in his pocket and left.
No arrest has been made.
DON'T EVEN - she must have sounded like she meant it!
