Robert, I agree that Gore's attempt does indeed threaten the republic, but I will grant him that he actually wants to lead the nation. I don't call that treachary. I call his methods wrong, immoral, illegal, and probably unconstitutional, but I wouldn't call them trechary, much as I dislike him.

I don't know, Long Path - seems to me treachery is just that. If it takes that to get in, just what can we expect for 4 (or 8) years. Treachery, like sin and other evils, gets easier as you do them more - the mind gets more comfortable with each event. Most believe it'll ultimately get caught up and dealt with. I've always thought that, but today it is clear to me that when it's first discovered, it must be dealt with immediately. The price, otherwise, is always too high.

It's said "that all things come to him who waits" - the operative word here is "ALL".

I have no answers for this current mess, it is beyond me. But, I believe GWB should have been elected, and if after all this flack, in the end he does gain the office, he will have proven his mettle and his ability to govern. He will have walked the walk.
