Stoeger under/over slugs?

Hi everybody,

A friend of mine recently purchased a Stoeger under/over and had a few questions. The top barrel has an Improved Cylinder choke and the bottom barrel has a Modified choke. Can you fire slugs through either of them or do you need to remove the chokes first? Which choke is the best for skeet shooting? And are there any reasons you would ever want to take the chokes out completely? He asked me, but I'm not much of a shotgun guy. Thanks in Advance!!!

Never fire the gun without a choke tube installed.
It's a smoothbore. Most slugs designed for smooth
bores function best through Cylinder and Improved Cyl.
Skeet: between Cyl and IC there is Skeet Cylinder.
