Stoeger Schofield quality? vs Uberti

How is the quality of the Stoeger top breaks? I'm guessing they are identical in quality to Ubertis but perhaps the steel is a bit nicer or tougher?

Does anyone know?

I can't speak for the quality of either, but I do like the top break design.

Such would be a handy woods bumming set up with speedloaders and/or moon clips.

Made by Uberti. But in my experience, the Cimarron branded Ubertis exhibit a bit higher quality control, as far as fit and finish. Like maybe they are hand picked or something.

I bought a Rem 1875 imported by Stoeger. After 2 trips back for work on the gun, at the Dealer's expense, Stoeger refused to honor the warranty. They would neither replace the gun nor fix it. The Dealer replaced it with a SAA then was stuck with it. I will not buy anything with Stoeger stamped on it.

I prefer the Navy arms over all. They seem to have better quality control and come in a cool 19th century style box.

Kcub can you give me a link or anything so I could read up on Navyarms? I'd appreciate it. :)

I was under the impression the navy arms version was still made by Uberti?

Navy is Uberti.
Each importer can & will specify what features (i.e. finish quality) they want, Uberti provides them, and there can be a notable difference.

Is Stoeger currently offering Schofield replicas or are you all discussing something that they previously offered but have since discontinued? I ask because I don't see a Schofield, or any revolvers at all for that matter, on Stoeger's website.

Stoeger is only the import arm for the various brands under the Beretta umbrella.
Stoeger doesn't offer "Stoeger" revolvers.

I understand that, but I'm not seeing any revolvers at all on Stoeger's website. In the past, Schofield replicas have been offered by various importers even though they were all made by the same manufacturer. What I'm asking is whether or not Stoeger is currently importing Schofields in addition to the Uberti-branded ones.
