Do you feel that Stoeger is a quality firearm? I'd like the poll answers as well as an example why you feel that way. Want to hear from people who have fired or who have owned for a while.

Nay

Are you asking about the 2000 or double guns?
I've posted before about the Stoeger I owned. It was a 20 gauge Upland English Stock, weighed 7.5 lbs (24" bbls at that) and fit and finish were comparable to work done in the Gulags. Someone else described the swing as being "like a pig on a shovel" and I couldn't agree more. The only good things were that the barrels were properly regulated and the extractors never failed.
That said, I recently handled a 12 gauge with 26" bbls and it weighed the same, but swung better.
If you want a cheap double in that price range, get a Baikal. Savage and Remington are selling them as Stevens and Spartan, respectively. At least you get ejectors and somewhat better wood-to-metal fit. The Stevens looks nicer than the Spartan for the same price.
Sometimes you get more than what you pay for. With Stoeger doubles, you don't. Others may disagree, but that's my opinion on the one I owned.

I've used one of their Coach Guns in 12 gauge for several years now for cowboy action shooting. I'm not too concerned with how it looks as it gets handled pretty roughly but it always works. Granted, CAS targets are not in the least bit hard to hit, so the swing is negligible. That's all I need it to do.
Would probably make a good truck gun also, assuming you don't bend the barrels.
