Stoeger Luger .22 still around?

Another posting got me thinking about my first guns. I used to have a Stoeger Luger .22 pistol. It was the first pistol I bought when I was old enough to buy one for myself. I loved that guns grip and its Luger-like toggle action. I think Stoeger was the importer but I don't know if they were also the manufacturer.

Does anyone know if these little pistols are still made? I haven't seen any in magazines or catalogs.

Funny you should mention the Stoger Luger.

I saw one in a gunshop for the first time in a LONG time on Friday. I THINK they wanted around $200 for it.

I'm pretty certain that they're no longer made.

I agree with Mike...I don't think they are made anymore.

I do believe that Navy Arms came out with some lugers both in .22 and in 9mm Para some time ago.

I got so disgusted with mine that I sent the entire gun along with a load of other miscelaneous gun parts to Gun Parts Corp back in 89.

The Stoeger Luger .22 was made back in the 70's. Not currently in production. Stoeger, of Shooter's Bible fame, was the distributor and the gun was actually manufactured by a division of Stanley Tools. They did have a problem breaking parts during reassembly after stripping for cleaning and production was discontinued in the late 70's or early 80's.
