For the amount you pay...
For about $450 I was able to buy the Stoeger Condor Supreme, two boxes of shells and two rounds of skeet.
Shot a 42/50. At the time, I was averaging 18's to 22's per round. So the gun did not hurt me at all. I got one that had fine wood and only a little ill fitting wood around the tang. Nothing that I paid attention to while shooting.
I recently sold it to a good friend and he too is impressed for what he got for $300.
From what I HEAR though it can be hit or miss.....the ones I have encountered shot well and held up fine. If you are going to shoot a lot you may consider a used Beretta, Browning, Ruger, etc as the Stoeger may wear out over time and as far as I know, does not have replaceable parts like some (if not all of the Berettas) do.

That's funny, I was thinking about a Condor on my way home this evening.
Got a bonus, and saw an advertisement for one, either 12 or 20 gauge, for $299.00.

I got a Stoeger Uplander several years ago, mainly because I always wanted a side-by-side but didn't want to mortgage the house to get one. I talked to several Cowboy Action Shooters who had the Stoeger Coach Gun (the same shotgun with a 20" barrel) and they said they had no malfs of any type, and had shot theirs quite a bit. You don't get much by way of fit and finish, but I didn't want something that I would be afraid to take into the grouse woods, where it would get scratched, dinged, wet, etc. Anyway, I think it's a fairly inexpensive way to get a functional sxs without breaking the bank. Whether it will be around to pass along to my grandchildren, I'm not sure...
About 6 years ago my small-town sporting goods store got a Stoeger 12 Ga. hammerless coachgun in stock (the owner won it at a trade show drawing)
He was selling it for $200.00, out the door, and wanting a shorty 12 Ga. double, I HAD to have it... (also wanted a sling on it)
in the end, I paid about $210.00 out the door, with a sling, mounts, and a box of shells to boot...
now, hundreds of rounds later, the ONLY other thing I had to add was a recoilpad... (and more shells), as the plastic plate was painful... and the shells just don't seem to last...
