I found a Stoeger Condor O/U 12 gauge shotgun at the local gun show yesterday. The dealer was wanting $350 out the door he would cover taxes and background check. Was this a good deal? This was a used gun and I looked up what little I could about the gun and the used Condor Specials (upgraded gun) were going for roughly 350-400 on the online auction sites.
Second question is, is the Stoeger Condor worth buying or should I just save and buy a quality O/U like a Browning? The gun felt like good quality, the action was a little stiff to close but I would think it would wear in just fine with time. I am wanting to get a O/U shotgun that I can change chokes in because I enjoy casually competing and participating in local Skeet/Trap shoots. My reloads for my Winchester 1300 Pump have been starting to jam on doubles and it is just a real pain in the can to pick up empty shells after a while. I do not want to spend a lot on a nice gun at this point in my life just becuase of finances (college student). On the other hand, I do not want to buy junk that I will be replacing after 1-2 seasons of shooting and 1000 shells.
