I saw a modern, Stoeger American Eagle Luger today. Stainless steel, checkered walnut grips, absolutely beautiful. ANIB. It's a consignment gun at the shop and...

...what can you folks tell me about it?

...how's it shoot?

...I did a search here and the comments were generally negative. But, when I did a Google search, the reviews were great. What gives?

...since it's a consignment gun, what's a fair price?

Y'all did me right by me with the Benelli B76 I just bought. Talk to me about this Luger. Thanks

One thing I can tell you is that I want one. I tryed to order one a couple years ago and was told they were no longer being made. I have wanted a luger since I was a kid. I have bought in excess of 100 guns since and not a single Luger. Why, I don't know. I have been told that I can buy a mismatched gun for around $400. I saw this stainless model and instantly wanted one. Please let us know what they want for it.
 
LUGERS IN STAINLESS

I OWNED ONE OF THESE ABOUT 10 YEARS AGO, JUST A BEAUTIFUL PISTOL TO GAZE UPON.
ABOUT 75 OR 80 ROUNDS OF U S COMMERCIAL AMMUNITION TURNED IT INTO A RATTLING HULK OF ITS FORMER SELF. THE INTERNAL PARTS OF THAT LUGER WERE SOFTER THAN BUBBLE GUM. THAT LITTLE BIT OF AMMO BATTERED THE LIVIN' SHIQ OUT OF THE INTERNAL PARTS OF THE GUN AND LITTERALLY TRASHED THE PISTOL. I SENT IT BACK FOR A PROMPT REPLACEMENT WHICH I'M STILL WAITING FOR TO THIS VERY MINUTE...THE U P S MAN COMES EVERY DAY AT 4:30PM...IT MAY BE HERE YET TODAY, GUYS...I REMAIN OPTIMISTIC...
