i have a remington 700,senduro 11,,,,has anyone ever shortened the stock on one of these guns or is it even possible..i have a real problem with eye relief and lenth of pull,,i know its a synthetic stock but i am not sure if it is solid or hollow..i dont want to mess the gun up..i have used several diferent scopes and still dont have good eye relief and the gun dont feel comfortable..if the stock where an inch or maybe even an inch and a quarter shorter it would be perfect..i love the gun and it is very accurate so i dont want to get rid of it..any help or suggestions would be appreciated..thanks

Call up and talk to the folks at H&S Precision. They made the stock. The stock is hollow. Perhaps a new recoil pad would do? I believe the Sendero recoil pads are quite thick.

I am a full time, full service gun shop.

If the stock is hollow, it's no big deal, just a little extra work. Most are not however. They use bowling ball filler so that the shell has some internal support.

I don't use a saw to cut for LOP. I've made fixtures for stock work that go into milling machines. Doing it this way and climb cutting around the periphery ensures a clean edge free of chips and splits.

Good luck.

The stock is definitely hollow. I have handled a gun in which something was broken off and rattling inside.
