Stock mounin screw on 1860 Army

The stock mounting screw on my Uberti 1860 Army is distracting as it rubs on my trigger finger. Does anyone make a replacement screw with a thinner head for this revolver? I tried cutting a screw to the length of the threaded part of the stock screw, but without a head on it -- it won't stay in place. I don't want to use Locktite on it in case I want to remove it some time. Has anyone else addressed this issue?

I have always found that screw distracting too. I wish Colt, Uberti, etc., had made a Civilian model of the 1860 without that screw and the cutouts in the recoil shield

Uberti does make a civilian version without those screws & has for quite a while.

Uberti used to offer "flat head" replacement screws not protruding from the frame.
