Hey you all, I'm new to this forum and wanted to ask if anyone besides me has tried a Mossberg 100 ATR, blued barrel, synthetic wood look alike stock, 270 win?? I topped it with an old leopold 3-9 variXII and drove some tacks the other day with some old barnes bullets reloads a friend gave me from the early 90's. Nonetheless I tried some winchester powerpoint factory loads and still kept a 1.5 inch group@100. Either those handloads were a fluke or this gun has great potential with reloads. I think the main thing was that with its new lightning trigger, I was able to shoot it well. Two times the gun fired slightly before I had intended it to because the pull was so light. To me this gun is what all rifles should be, built for the hunter and shooter with no bells and whistles. Anyone else had any better or worse luck with it????
