I love the little 1903 Mannlicher Schoenauer ( don't have one as I can't afford it) and want to have something similar made. My idea was to buy a Savage 340 in 30-30 and have a 1903 mannlicher type stock made for it. Is there a stock maker out there that would not cost a fortune? I was not looking for fancy wood or alot of attention to detail. I was hoping that with all the CNC type machinery coming out that someone was doing stocks with a more economical price. I doubt it though but thought I would check anyway. Thanks!
