Sticking Kel-Tec P32

Here's something I'm running into with my Kel-Tec P32.

For the most part, the gun is fine. However, I seem to be running into a specific type of jam/misfeed problem. I've included a couple of pictures that illustrate what happens (photos not taken with live ammo! - Simulated)

There doesn't seem to be a consistent pattern to when the jam occurs.

Here's what happens when the jam occurs:

When a shot is fired the slide retracts and locks open.

The spent shell does not fully eject and gets stuck about half way out.

The jam can be cleared by ejecting the magazine, releasing pressure on the spent shell. When this is done, the shell either falls out through the magazine chamber or the slide snaps shut, allowing me to eject the spent shell by pulling the slide back.

The gun has had about 250 rounds cranked through it. Most often I've used Winchester 71 GR. FMJs.

I keep the gun clean and properly lubricated.

I've polished the feed ramp using a Dremel tool and jewelers rouge, to shine it up without removing metal.

Any ideas?

ya know, i had the EXACT same problem with my P32. I did a fluff n buff, changed ammo, et cetera. What finally fixed the FTEs was when i sent the gun to Kel-Tec. They replaced the extractor- apparently, they've had a lot of problems with certain batches of extractors (and my P32 was less than 6 months old) and people have been having problems w/ shell extraction.
I don't know if you need to send the gun to Kel-Tec, if you called them and described the problem they'll send you a replacement extractor and it's pretty easy to replace.
BTW, since my extractor has been replaced, zero problems- hope this helps!

I suspect a roughly-finished or too-tight chamber, or a bad extractor/spring. Don't screw with it- send it to Kel-Tec along with a printout of those pictures.

I had the exact same problem. I compared my extractor with a friend's P32 and his claw was sharper while mine was more rounded. I sent it to Kel-Tec and a few days later I got it back in the mail. New extractor and spring and I have not had any problems since then.

Yep. Either an extractor problem or a rough/tight chamber. Since you say the spent cartridge (which has failed to extract) will fall out of the pistol when you remove the mag, its probably not the chamber. Ergo, its the extractor. I will bet the corner of the ejector is rounded or the ejector spring is way too soft.

Send it in to Kel-Tec and they will fix it.
