I purchased an STI Trojan about a year ago. It has a better fit and finish than the Kimbers I examined plus all of it's lockworks are tool steel and not MIM. I have had no problems with it at all. It did not require a trigger job and I can get < 1.5 inches at 25 yds from a rest. You will not be disappointed. You can check out http://www.1911forum.com for more info on STI.

I have one and like fanof1911s, mine too are a better fit an d finish than my Kimbers. I'm going to order another shortly and tweek it a bit for competition (< 2lb. trigger, magwell, and a wide ambi safety). I'm also thinking about on e in 9mm for IPDA Enhanced Service Pistol division.
